❓What kind of tours do you offer?
We offer custom walking and photography tours through downtown Juneau led by a 100% local-born Tlingit guide. Every tour is personal, conversational, and tailored to your interests — culture, history, wildlife, or just awesome photo spots.
❓How long are the tours?
Tours typically run about 1.5 to 2 hours, but we can adjust the length depending on your schedule, energy level, or cruise timing. It’s your pace — we just guide the way.
❓Where do tours start and end?
We usually meet downtown Juneau, near the cruise ship docks or wherever is most convenient for you. We generally start at the Juneau Public Library We’ll confirm your meeting point by text or phone when you book.
❓How do I book a tour?
You can call or text us directly to book. We work by conversation — just let us know when you’re in town and what you’d like to see or learn, and we’ll build something just for you.
❓Can I bring my dog?
Yes! Moon Dawg Tours is dog-friendly. Bring your furry friend — we know the best places to walk them and snap some great photos along the way.
❓What should I bring?
We recommend:
- Comfortable walking shoes
- A light jacket (weather can change quickly)
- A water bottle
- Your camera or phone — we’ll help you find the best shots
- Optional: umbrella or raincoat (this is Southeast Alaska, after all)
❓Is the tour accessible?
We aim to be as accessible as possible. Downtown Juneau sidewalks are generally walkable. If you have mobility concerns, let us know when you reach out — we’ll do our best to adjust the route.
❓What happens if it rains?
We run rain or shine — it’s part of the Alaska experience! But if it’s a heavy storm or unsafe weather, we’ll offer to reschedule or refund. We’ll stay in touch the day-of if weather is questionable.
❓Can you accommodate cruise ship schedules?
Yes — we’re local and flexible. Just tell us your ship’s arrival and departure times, and we’ll plan the tour so you’re back with time to spare.
❓Do you offer group rates or private tours?
All our tours are private and personal. No big groups, no megaphone lectures. If you have a group of 3–4 people, just let us know — we’ll customize accordingly.
❓How much does it cost?
Rates are based on time and group size. We’ll give you an exact price when you are in the booking Menu
❓Do you offer Indigenous or cultural insights?
Yes — our guide is Tlingit and local-born, and we’re happy to share stories, language, and perspective as much as you want. This isn’t a scripted tour — it’s a conversation and a cultural connection.
